It’s been a little quiet around here recently (don’t act like you noticed…), mainly because we’ve just moved flats. If you’re wondering, I can confirm that this is Not A Fun Activity when you have an 18-month-old padding around and unpacking stuff when you’re looking the other way.
Anyway, we’re in now, although we get to repeat the whole process in a few months when our brand new house is ready. Hurrah…
After a couple of days with no landline, internet or mobile signal we’ve also sorted out contact with the outside world. Sadly no fibre wiring here, and the upload rate across this phone line is so slow that it would be more efficient if I just printed out a few photos and mailed them to you, dear reader.
On the plus side this temporary flat has a garage and, despite having masses of our stuff also crammed in there, I’ve managed to carve out a bike tinkering space at the end. The MetaBike is back with new cabling (my amateur mechanic skills aren’t up to running cable housing inside the frame), so I’ll be able to tell you whether the massive SRAM GX cassette lives up to the hype.
I’ve also got most of a post on the new design for Victoria Road written up, plus a review of the Hamax Caress child seat nearly done.
Talk soon!
